Statement:
As per the recent GBC resolution stating “Lokanath Swami shall not initiate disciples, in person or virtually, in any region or area where he has not been welcomed by the relevant RGB or similar body of area leaders,” the ISKCON North American Council (NAC), including North American GBC members, requests Lokanath Swami to refrain from visiting or initiating in the USA or Canada, including virtually/online, and to refrain from accepting invitations to livestream to any North American ISKCON center or community.
The NAC is providing a grace period until 31 December 2023 for currently aspiring disciples of Lokanath Swami. Aspirants for first or second initiation may contact transition.Dec2023@gmail.com for advice and assistance.
After 31 December 2023, as per the GBC Resolution “In the case of rare exceptions that may be proposed to the RGB (or similar body), the GBC Executive Committee (“EC”) will assist in reaching an agreeable outcome.”
